The
key to the principles of FAA is in the first word of our mission statement
above - "Professionals". In many countries there are governmental
restrictions and requirements for those wishing to provide financial
planning advice – but in many places no regulatory body exists to
protect the interests of the client. FAA has been formed by a group of
professional and qualified advisers who are committed to restricting the
membership to those professionals who are qualified and experienced in the
provision of financial advice and services.
FAA is registered in The Republic of
Cyprus
, IBFSS/29320/IFC/25, and is a member of C.I.F.S.A. (the
Cyprus
International Financial Services Association,
Nicosia
,
Cyprus
) which has been the industry supervisory and disciplinary
body. FAA
Insurance Advisers Ltd is an insurance mediation company regulated by the Cyprus
Insurance Companies Control Service (reg no: FOS17) a department of the Cyprus Ministry Of Finance. “FAA also
complies with the European Union requirements for Professional Indemnity
Insurance.
These high standards and
exemplary previous history are in turn required by FAA of all its members,
this ensures that any potential or existing client of a member of the
association can be confident that they are dealing with a competent
professional in the field. No member is admitted to the association unless
they are able to satisfy these requirements; in addition they are required
to satisfactorily complete FAA internal training and audit and to pass the
internal examination of the association.
FAA also performs a disciplinary and investigatory function and responds to
any questions or complaints from any client of any member, this does not in
any way detract from the client’s right to approach C.I.F.S.A. or any
other body.
